Smartphone Photography

Goals & Objectives

Photography class incorporates basics skills to get the most out of your camera. Learn ways to compose your image, go on photo walks and share your work with others. During class, participants will:​

  1. Identify  photography techniques including understanding camera settings, lighting, framing and many other techniques.

  2. Compose photographs using techniques such as centering, filling the frame, symmetry, leading lines, and the rule of thirds.

  3. Use editing techniques, including cropping, straightening, brightness, contrast, and color adjustments.

  4. Capture different styles of photography, such as portraits, landscapes, still life, nature, architecture, action, and abstract images.

  5. Evaluate their own and others’ photographs, provide feedback about strengths and areas for improvement, and apply feedback to improve or revise their photographic work.
