Healthy Eats 101

Goals & Objectives

In this introductory cooking class, participants will gain confidence in the kitchen by learning basic cooking skills and techniques while building nutrition awareness.

 

Goals:

In class, participants will:

  • Improve self confidence in the kitchen, while working individually and in groups.

  • Learn basic recipes and develop skills to make healthy choices.

  • Practice independent living skills, including time management, culinary math and nutritional science in an inclusive environment. 

  • Strengthen socialization, communication and presentation skills, while sharing their culinary work with other participants, staff and family.
