Born 2 Sing
Goals & Objectives
Born 2 Sing in the Backyard is a joyful, structured 10-week singing class that nurtures authentic vocal expression, musical growth, and confidence through group singing and performance. Each singer is guided to explore and develop their natural voice in a supportive, encouraging environment where progress is celebrated, and every contribution matters. Classes are thoughtfully designed using developmentally informed vocal pedagogy, incorporating movement, musical concepts, expression, and engaging repertoire. Singers build skills gradually and consistently, allowing them to feel secure, successful, and ready to share their voices with others. This class is performance-driven, with the exciting goal of preparing singers to present their songs in public. Performance is approached as a positive and empowering experience, one that fosters pride, accomplishment, and connection with an audience. Preparation emphasizes confidence, communication, and joy rather than pressure or perfection. Throughout the program, singers participate in predictable routines and musical activities that support joyful participation, cooperation, and expressive freedom while exploring their unique solo voice. The class environment values individuality while encouraging collaboration, helping singers grow both musically and socially as part of a community.
